Adoption Ambassador trip began on June 19th and they return July 1st.

On June 19th several "adoption ambassadors" left the comforts of their homes in Wisconsin to join in efforts to become familiar with older children living in the Philippines who are in need of adoption. This is the third of such a journey through LSS of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan, Inc. Philippine adoption program.

There is a mix of four boys and four girls, ages 9-14; including a sibling group of a brother and sister.  Today the Ambassadors will visit three orphanges to meet some of the children.

On June 12th, there was a reunion of all the families which adoptions were made possible as a result of the Ambassador program.  Some of the children at the reunion were at the same orphange and this event provides a chance for them to stay connected.

Amy Conway, who is  a social worker at LSS, also attended the reunion.  She was in awe of the famliy connections and has enjoyed working with families during the adoption process and transition.

You can follow the adventures of the 2010 Ambassadors and meet the children at the Caringbridge site.

It is our sincere hope that through this hands on travel experience that we will be able to develop a personal experience with older children who deserve, and desire a family to call their own.
